After the crash and rebuild!

Kelly finally rebuilt his 2004 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 in late April 2008. This photo is the result of about 65 hours of labor. Kelly worked on the motorcycle a few hours each evening. The next race event was in late July at Homestead Miami Speedway. We couldn't wait to get the bike back on the race track. To view more rebuild photos, check out our Flicker page. You can also listen to a detailed description of the rebuild on our audio podcast.

Mishap at the racetrack... again.

Kelly had a slight mishap at the racetrack this past weekend. This is the result of an 80 mph low side which resulted in the bike sliding on its left side before coming to a rest on the outside of turn 10a at Moroso Motorsports Park in Jupiter, Florida. Not to worry, Kelly walked away from this crash with nothing more than a severely sprained right middle finger. It will take some time to reconstruct the bike though. Our next race event is in late May at Homestead Miami Speedway. I hope we can get the bike back together by then. To view more crash photos, check out our Flicker page. You can also listen to a detailed description of the crash on our audio podcast.

Mishap at the racetrack

Brandon had a slight mishap at the racetrack this past weekend. This is the result of a 130 mph low side which resulted in the bike cart-wheeling end over end several times before coming to a rest on the outside of turn 9 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Not to worry, Brandon walked away from this horror and is fine but, it will take some time to reconstruct the bike. Our next track day event is in late July at Moroso Motorsports Park in Jupiter, Florida. I hope we can get his bike back together by then.
